THE LOWDOWN

WOLVES

A last-gasp Oliver Norwood penalty brought an end to Wolves' unbeaten run in the Premier League last weekend, but they are unbeaten in their last three at home, which came against tough opposition in the form of Man City, Aston Villa and Newcastle.

It was a disappointing display against Sheffield Utd last time out though, and it looked like they were heading for a 1-0 defeat when Cameron Archer put the Blades in front midway through the second half. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's 89th-minute equaliser offered a brief reprieve, but Norwood dispatched from the spot late on to send the visitors home empty-handed.

TOTTENHAM

Tottenham' incident-packed defeat to Chelsea on Monday will live long in the memory for a number of reasons but they ultimately saw their unbeaten start to the Premier League season ended by their London rivals.

Spurs started the brighter in that match and went ahead through Dejan Kulusevski, but red cards for defenders Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie either side of a Cole Palmer penalty completely changed the complexion of the game. Ange Postecoglou's men held on valiantly for much of the second half with their famed high line, but their resistance was broken by Nicholas Jackson, who went on to complete a hat-trick late on.

THE TEAM NEWS

WOLVES

Hugo Bueno has recovered from a thigh injury and should feature in the squad, but Joe Hodge and Pedro Neto are not ready for returns just yet.

After scoring last week, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde could be handed a start by Gary O'Neil.

PREDICTED XI (4-4-1-1): Sa; Semedo, Kilman, Dawson, Gomes; Hwang, Lemina, Bellegarde, Ait-Nouri; Cunha; Silva

UNAVAILABLE: Hodge (Injured), Fraser (Injured), Neto (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

TOTTENHAM

With Romero and Udogie suspended, coupled with Micky Van de Ven's injury, it will have to be a makeshift defence with Eric Dier potentially partnering Ben Davies in the centre, although defensive midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could perhaps play that role.

To make matters worse, James Maddison is likely out until the new year with an ankle issue, and Richarlison will go under the knife for a long-standing issue.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Dier, Davies, Romero; Sarr, Bissouma, Lo Celso; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson

UNAVAILABLE: Whiteman (Injured), Romero (Suspended), Van de Ven (Injured) Udogie (Suspended), Sessegnon (Injured), Perisic (Injured), Maddison (Injured), Solomon (Injured), Richarlison (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

THE PREDICTION

After the madness of last Monday's defeat to Chelsea, Tottenham will be keen to restore normality here and record a routine victory, although their job has not been made easier by suspension and injury issues. Wolves were on a decent run prior to last week's defeat to promoted side Sheffield Utd, and they have competed well with the 'big' teams this season. With this in mind, there could be some value to be had in backing the draw here.
