THE LOWDOWN

WEST HAM

West Ham continue to slide down the table following their third straight Premier League defeat last weekend, with David Moyes keen to see some immediate improvement from his side, particularly in defence.

The Hammers did secure a 1-0 victory over Olympiakos in the Europa League on Thursday though, and they are on the brink of qualification to the knockout stages.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

After failing to win in six Premier League games, Nottingham Forest produced a much-needed win over Aston Villa last weekend, and Steve Cooper will hope his men can use that victory as a springboard for a sustained run of form.

Forest struck early in each half, with full-back Ola Aina opening the scoring after just five minutes, before Orel Mangala struck in the 47th minute, albeit with some help from opposition goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

THE TEAM NEWS

WEST HAM

Kurt Zouma is doubtful but David Moyes otherwise has a fully-fit squad to choose from, with no fresh concerns reported after Thursday's Europa League meeting with Olympiakos.

Edson Alvarez and Lucas Paqueta have both served their one-match domestic suspensions and are likely to start here, while Michail Antonio - rested on Thursday - is likely to start up front unless Moyes opts for Jarrod Bowen in a more advanced role.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson; Alvarez, Ward-Prowse; Bowen, Kudus, Paqueta; Antonio

UNAVAILABLE:

QUESTIONABLE: Zouma (Injured)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Callum Hudson-Odoi remains out but Gonzalo Montiel, Felipe, Divock Origi and Chris Wood have reportedly all trained this week and could be involved in some capacity.

Odysseas Vlachodimos replaced Matt Turner in goal last week, and is likely to keep his place after keeping a clean sheet.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Vlachodimos; Aina, Niakhate, Murillo, Toffolo; Sangare, Mangala, Domiguez; Gibbs-White, Awoniyi, Elanga

UNAVAILABLE: Hudson-Odoi (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Montiel (Injured), Felipe (Injured), Origi (Injured), Wood (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

The equivalent meeting between these two sides last season saw West Ham record a comfortable 4-0 victory, but it is difficult to see that happening here given the Hammers' wavering form in the Premier League. Buoyed by their win over Aston Villa last weekend, Nottingham Forest should be competitive here and are capable of securing at least a draw, especially as West Ham might be suffering from some fatigue after their Europa League exertions.

BETTING TIP: DRAW
