THE LOWDOWN

WEST HAM

  • Despite leading at half-time at the Emirates Stadium, West Ham wilted under extended Arsenal pressure in the second period, falling to a 3-1 defeat which leaves them without a win in their last four Premier League games, picking up just one point.
  • Defender Kurt Zouma remains out injured, whilst both Nayef Aguerd and Gianluca Scamacca face late fitness tests ahead of this one.

BRENTFORD

  • Brentford will have been extremely disappointed to have thrown away a two-goal-lead at home to Tottenham in the opening Premier League fixture post World Cup break, but they are now unbeaten in their last four league matches.
  • A hamstring injury could rule Frank Onyeka out, which would see him join the likes of Aaron Hickey, Shandon Baptiste and Kristoffer Ajer on the treatment table.

THE TEAM NEWS

WEST HAM

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Coufal, Dawson, Kehrer, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice; Bowen, Paqueta, Benrahma; Antonio

UNAVAILABLE: Zouma (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Aguerd (Fitness), Cornet (Injured), Scamacca (Fitness)

BRENTFORD

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Raya; Jansson, Pinnock, Mee; Roerslev, Jensen, Norgaard, Henry; Mbeumo, Toney

UNAVAILABLE: Ajer (Injured), Baptiste (Injured), Hickey (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Onyeka (Injured), Strakosha (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

This could prove an uncomfortable experience for West Ham with their supporters extremely unhappy with their current poor run and how close the Hammers currently are to the bottom three. Therefore, the pressure is on David Moyes, who will surely look to set West Ham up with an eye on attacking at every opportunity, pushing bodies forward knowing that a draw isn’t good enough at home. Whilst, this should see them profit in front of goal against a Brentford side without a clean sheet since October, the Bees are a huge threat on the counter-attack and are likely to be afforded chances of their own. Therefore, back both teams to score in this one.

TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
