THE TEAM NEWS

TOTTENHAM

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that are no fresh injury concerns or new availability issues for Tottenham after their exit from the FA Cup to Manchester City last Friday. That means a similar squad from that defeat is expected for this one.

The former Celtic boss will soon welcome back Pape Matar Sarr after Senegal’s surprise elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations but Wednesday is expected to be too soon for him, whist Manor Solomon is being assessed after suffering a setback.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Hojbjerg; Kulusevski, Maddison, Werner; Richarlison

UNAVAILABLE: Sarr (International duty), Bissouma (International duty), Son (International duty), Veliz (Injured), Solomon (Injured), Sessegnon (Injured), Lo Celso (Injured)

BRENTFORD

Brentford will be without new signing, Sergio Reguilon, who is unavailable to face his parent club having joined The Bees on loan a couple of weeks ago. Thomas Frank has confirmed that Christian Norgaard will be able to return, though, after a recent injury.

The likes of Yoane Wissa, Frank Onyeka and Saman Ghoddos remain away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Asian Cup, respectively. Bryan Mbeumo, Aaron Hickey, Kevin Schade and Rico Henry remain out injured.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Flekken; Collins, Pinnock, Mee; Roerslev, Janelt, Norgaard, Jensen, Lewis-Potter; Maupay, Toney

UNAVAILABLE: Henry (Injured), Mbeumo (Injured), Hickey (Injured), Schade (Injured), Reguilon (Ineligible), Wissa (International duty), Onyeka (International duty), Ghoddos (International duty)

THE PREDICTION

This is a London derby between two sides that have been very entertaining to watch throughout the campaign. Since the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season, in which their were four goals before half-time, they have both been guilty of perhaps lacking control this year. Tottenham, for example, have had 75 goals come in their 21 matches, whilst Brentford’s 20 games have consisted of 62 goals. Spurs are favourites at home but it should well be another entertaining encounter involving both teams.

TIP: TOTTENHAM TO WIN & BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
