SHEFFIELD UTD PREVIEW: BLUNT BLADES

Sheffield United are currently on 101 goals conceded for the campaign in the Premier League, which is already a record, and could be in for another hiding at Bramall Lane this weekend. The Blades will return to the Championship with a few off-field issues and it is unclear as to whether Chris Wilder will stay on in South Yorkshire.

Their most recent outing saw them make the trip to Goodison Park to face Everton where they were beaten 1-0 by an Abdoulaye Doucoure strike. That was the first time they had conceded fewer than two goals in a game in nearly three matches, which was a run of ten matches, since losing 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in February.

TOTTENHAM PREVIEW: THE JOB IS NOT FINISHED

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have become the first team ever to be top-of-the-table after ten matches of the campaign and eventually miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification in the Premier League. They will have to settle for UEFA Europa League football next season after a really disappointing end to the campaign.

Spurs did avoid handing their arch-rivals Arsenal the Premier League title on Tuesday evening when they instead suffered a 2-0 loss at home to Manchester City. That defeat, in which Erling Haaland notched a second-half brace for City, means they have managed just three victories in their last ten matches in the league.

SHEFFIELD UTD TEAM NEWS: AHMEDHODZIC & HOLGATE RETURN

Chris Wilder has been dealing with a ravaged injury squad throughout this campaign and they head into the final day with lots of absentees. Anel Ahmedhodzic has returned from suspension, though.

Mason Holgate has also returned to the squad after being ineligible against his parent club Everton last weekend. John Egan, Ben Osborn, Oliver Arblaster, Andre Brooks, George Baldock and Tom Davies could return.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Foderingham; Vinicius Souza, Trusty, Robinson; Bogle, Hamer, Arblaster, Brooks, Larouci; Archer, Brereton

UNAVAILABLE: Basham (Injured), Lowe (Injured), Norrington-Davies (Injured), McBurnie (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Egan (Injured), Baldock (Injured), Osborn (Injured), Brooks (Illness), Arblaster (Injured), Davies (Injured), Jebbison (Illness)

TOTTENHAM TEAM NEWS: LO CELSO A DOUBT

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the final day of the season, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is a doubt for this weekend.

Spurs will remain without several first-teamers for this final weekend with Fraser Forster, Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Ryan Sessegnon, Yves Bissouma, Manor Solomon, Timo Werner and Richarlison all unavailable.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Pedro Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Van de Ven; Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son

UNAVAILABLE: Forster (Injured), Davies (Injured), Udogie (Injured), Sessegnon (Injured), Bissouma (Injured), Solomon (Injured), Werner (Injured), Richarlison (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Lo Celso (Injured)

SHEFFIELD UTD VS TOTTENHAM PREDICTION

Sheffield United have lost 8-0 at home to Newcastle United, 6-0 at home to Arsenal as well as 5-0 at home to both Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion this season. Another Bramall Lane rout would seem quite likely as an angry Ange Postecoglou seeks to instil what he would believe is a better mentality at Tottenham Hotspur, especially with the north Londoners needing to hold off capital city rivals Chelsea for a guaranteed UEFA Europa League spot with Manchester United potentially stealing one off them by winning the FA Cup next week.
