THE LOWDOWN
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
- Premier League new boys Forest managed to hold out for two-thirds of their opener against Newcastle last week but ultimately succumbed to the Magpies and they now play host to West Ham in what should be a cauldron of an atmosphere at The City Ground.
- Scott Mckenna has picked up an injury in training and his participation on Sunday is in doubt, and that could see young centre-back Loic Mbe Soh drafted into the back three.
WEST HAM
- Opening against reigning champions Man City was always going to be a tough assignment for West Ham and so it proved with David Moyes’ men on the receiving end of an excellent performance from Premier League debutant Erling Haaland.
- It remains to be seen whether Lukasz Fabianski has recovered from the knock that saw him subbed off last week, while Maxwel Cornet and Gianluca Scamacca will be considered to make their first starts for the club.

THE PREDICTION
This should be a cracking atmosphere in Nottingham Forest’s first game at the City Ground since returning to the top tier of English football, and with both teams looking to bounce back from opening weekend defeats, an entertaining contest is anticipated. Hammers boss David Moyes may well choose to blood one or two of his new signings here, while Forest have plenty of new faces this season too, so this is very much about who hits the ground running fastest. West Ham undoubtedly have the greater quality in their ranks, but the occasion is very much a leveller so a share of the spoils is predicted here.
