FULHAM PREVIEW: SILVA’S COTTAGERS
Marco Silva, into his fourth season in charge of Fulham, is continuing to progress the Cottagers and his own career as Fulham aim for a top-half finish this time around after what was an impressive summer transfer window, despite the early summer sale of key man Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich.
Fulham did take the lead at the Etihad Stadium a couple of weeks ago against Manchester City and they were the better side for large parts before suffering a 3-2 defeat in Manchester – the city of their only other defeat so far this season which had come by a goal to nil against Manchester United on the opening day of the campaign.
ASTON VILLA PREVIEW: EMERY’S VILLAINS
With what does appear to be quite a small squad, Aston Villa have been able to balance the early season fixture congestion very well and very effectively with Unai Emery’s Villains having only suffered one defeat in their opening ten matches across all competitions so far this season.
They went into the October international break on the back of a goalless draw at home to Manchester United just a few days after they had defeated Bayern Munich by a goal to nil to make it back-to-back-to-nil victories to kick off their first UEFA Champions League season in over 40 years.

FULHAM VS ASTON VILLA PREDICTION
Fulham will get on the front foot against anyone as they proved by taking the game to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium a couple of weeks ago. The Cottagers do have a fair bit of attacking firepower to rely on, too. Aston Villa will go to Craven Cottage aware that they are playing Bologna in midweek so Unai Emery may look to rest and rotate but it should still be quite an entertaining watch for the neutral.
