EVERTON PREVIEW: BREATHING SPACE

After a difficult start to the season that saw them lose their first four Premier League games, Everton have really picked things up recently and they are now unbeaten in their last four in the league as they seek to put distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

The Toffees ended a run of 15 away games in all competitions without a victory when they came away with three points at Ipswich last weekend, Iliman Ndiaye and Michael Keane grabbing the goals in the first half at Portman Road.

FULHAM PREVIEW: LOOKING TO AVOID A THIRD STRAIGHT DEFEAT

Fulham haven't lost three Premier League games in a row all year but that is the prospect facing them here should come away pointless from Goodison Park.

In fairness to the Cottagers, they have faced Man City and Aston Villa in their last two fixtures and they found the net against both of them. Indeed, they are unbeaten against Everton in the last six meetings between the two sides in all competitions, so they have reason to be confident here.

EVERTON TEAM NEWS: BRANTHWAITE FIT

The injuries are thinning now for the Toffees with James Patterson and Seamus Coleman making the bench last week and fellow defender Jarrad Branthwaite now expected to be part of the squad. When it comes to Branthwaite, Dyche just needs to decide whether to put him straight into the starting line-up or keep faith with the Keane/Tarkowski partnership that has contributed to successive clean sheets.

James Garner, Tim Iroegbunam, Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja are still recovering from their respective injuries.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Young, Keane, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Doucoure, Gueye; Harrison, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin

UNAVAILABLE: Garner (Injured), Iroegbunam (Injured), Chermiti (Injured), Broja (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

FULHAM TEAM NEWS: ANDERSEN SUSPENDED

Issa Diop seems the obvious defensive candidate to replace Joachim Andersen, who was given his marching orders against Aston Villa.

Jorge Cuenca and Carlos Vinicius have returned to team training so their inclusion in the travelling squad depends on whether Marco Silva deems them fit enough.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Berge; Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez

UNAVAILABLE: Andersen (Suspended), Castagne (Injured), Lukic (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Cuenca (Fitness), Vinicius (Fitness)

EVERTON VS FULHAM PREDICTION

This looks like it should be a competitive affair. Fulham, despite losing their last two games, have given a good account of themselves this season and will view this as a winnable game, but Everton have been much improved of late and will certainly not lie down for their opponents.

Three of the last five meetings between the two have ended all square, and it could be a similar outcome this time around.

EVERTON VS FULHAM TIP: DRAW
