BRIGHTON PREVIEW: STILL UNBEATEN

Brighton were held to a goalless draw at home to promoted side Ipswich last Saturday, although the Seagulls remain unbeaten after four games in the Premier League this season.

Fabian Hurzeler's side progressed in the EFL Cup midweek, holding off fellow Premier League outfit Wolves in an entertaining contest that ended 3-2 in Brighton's favour.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST PREVIEW: ANFIELD DELIGHT

The mood in the Nottingham Forest camp is bound to be high right now after their superb 0-1 win away at Liverpool last week, and Nuno Espirito Santo's men are currently unbeaten in the Premier League after four games.

Much of their success has been down to a new-found defensive resolve with just two goals conceded so far, which is in stark contrast to last season when only three teams conceded more goals across the entire campaign.

BRIGHTON TEAM NEWS: JOAO PEDRO HAS A CHANCE

After missing Brighton's last two games in league and cup, Joao Pedro is close to a return and could feature depending on how he fares in training on Friday. Should he miss out again, Georginio Rutter could once again partner Danny Welbeck, with Evan Ferguson and Julio Enciso representing other options.

Matt O'Riley, James Milner and Brajan Gruda are making good progress in their respective recoveries, but Solly March is a long-term absentee.

PREDICTED XI (4-4-2): Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Dunk, Hinshelwood; Minteh, Baleba, Ayari, Mitoma; Joao Pedro, Welbeck

UNAVAILABLE: O'Riley (Injured), Milner (Injured), March (Injured), Gruda (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Joao Pedro (Injured)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST TEAM NEWS: BOLY CLOSE

Santo has confirmed that both Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare will be out for a while longer, but Willy Boly is on the verge of making the squad having missed the Liverpool win with a calf complaint.

The Forest boss changed things up last week with Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi dropping to the bench but the wingers could be recalled to the starting line-up here to provide a greater attacking threat.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood

UNAVAILABLE: Danilo (Injured), Sangare (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Boly (Injured)

BRIGHTON VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST PREDICTION

Brighton and Nottingham Forest have experienced identical starts to the 2024-25 Premier League season, winning two and drawing two of their first four games, so it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

Forest's games have been tight affairs characterised by solid defending, while Brighton have scored and conceded just once across their last two league games. If these patterns continue on Sunday, then another low-scoring game is in store.

BRIGHTON VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST TIP: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
