THE LOWDOWN

BRENTFORD

  • Brentford are perched comfortably in mid-table having lost just one of their last six Premier League matches going into the extended international break.
  • There is a cloud hanging over the Bees with star striker Ivan Toney charged by the FA for multiple counts of breaching betting rules, but the recently capped England forward is available to play.

TOTTENHAM

  • Tottenham will be very happy with their place in the top four going into Christmas, but with Man Utd snapping at their heels, they can’t afford a slip up.
  • Captain Hugo Lloris will be named on the bench following a long World Cup campaign with France, whilst recently crowned World champions Cristian Romero will be back for the game against Aston Villa.

THE TEAM NEWS

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Raya; Jorgensen, Pinnock, Mee; Roerslev, Onyeka, Janelt, Jensen, Henry; Mbeumo, Toney

UNAVAILABLE: Ajer (Injured), Baptiste (Injured), Hickey (Injured), Strakosha (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

TOTTENHAM

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Forster; Dier, Sanchez, Davies; Emerson, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son

UNAVAILABLE: Bentancur (Suspended), Richarlison (Injured), Romero (International Duty),

QUESTIONABLE: Spence (Illness)

THE PREDICTION

Neither of these two teams impressed defensively ahead of the World Cup break and the expectation is that we could see a high-scoring contest in this London derby. Brentford are without a clean sheet in their last four Premier League matches, whilst Tottenham have to go back to October 15th for their last shut out in all competitions and have most recently conceded seven goals across their most recent three fixtures. The outcome could go either way with Brentford having proven themselves against the ‘big six’ when they took down Man City at the Etihad Stadium last time out in the Premier League, but the smart move would be to back over 2.5 goals being scored in this one.

TIP: OVER 2.5 GOALS
