THE LOWDOWN

BOURNEMOUTH

Bournemouth battled well but were ultimately undone by Liverpool's firepower last week, and the Cherries will now go in search of their first win of the campaign.

It was a dream start for Andoni Iraola's men last Saturday when Antoine Semenyo capitalised on some errant Reds defending to put the visitors in front after just three minutes, but the hosts rallied with goals from Luis Diaz and Mo Salah before the break. Bournemouth were given hope when Alexis Mac Allister was somewhat controversially dismissed near the hour-mark, but it wasn't long before Diogo Jota gave Liverpool the cushion they needed.

TOTTENHAM

Tottenham secured their first win in the Ange Postecoglou era with a fine 2-0 victory over Man Utd last Saturday in what was a promising sign of things to come for Spurs fans.

Pre-match protests directed at much-maligned chairman Daniel Levy did not appear to have any impact on matters on the pitch, and it was no surprise when Pape Sarr gave Spurs the lead just after the break in what was his first ever goal for the club. Although Man Utd pushed for an equaliser, it was Spurs who added to the scoresheet when Ben Davies forced Lisandro Martinez to put the ball into his own net.

THE TEAM NEWS

BOURNEMOUTH

The Cherries still have a lengthy injury list to contend with as eight players are currently sidelined. However, Iraola has stated that Lewis Cook is the closest to a return with the central midfielder pencilled in for Tuesday's Carabao Cup fixture with Swansea.

Antoine Semenyo is likely to keep his place after impressing recently, while summer signing Justin Kluivert will be hoping for a first Premier League start after coming off the bench in both games so far.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Neto; Aarons, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Christie, Rothwell; Semenyo, Billing, Kluivert; Solanke

UNAVAILABLE: Smith (Injured), Tavernier (Injured). Adams (Injured), Cook (Injured), Fredericks (Injured), Marcondes (Injured), Scott (Injured), Ouattara (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

TOTTENHAM

Despite concerns surrounding James Maddison's condition after he left the Tottenham Hotspur stadium last week in a protective boot, the England international has trained and is likely to start, assuming he experiences no reaction.

Alfie Whiteman, Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Bentancur and Bryan Gil are out of contention, while reports suggest Tanguy Ndombele could be on the verge of a move away from the club before the transfer deadline elapses.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison

UNAVAILABLE: Whiteman (Injured), Sessengon (Injured), Bentancur (Injured), Gil (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Ndombele (Out of favour), Maddison (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

After the excellent win against Man Utd last weekend, Spurs fans will be expecting another three points here against Bournemouth, although the visitors have shown some promise themselves despite the fact they are still searching for their first win of the campaign. While there is still plenty to work on for Ange Postecoglou - namely getting the best out of Richarlison in the central striker's role - the visitors are still fancied to win this.

TIP: TOTTENHAM TO WIN
