THE LOWDOWN
ASTON VILLA
- Aston Villa put up a good fight against title chasing Liverpool this past Tuesday night, but ultimately fell to a 1-2 defeat despite taking the lead very early on and putting pressure on the Reds late on.
- Jacob Ramsey is likely to be back available for Villa and Steven Gerrard will have a decision to make on whether to throw him into the starting line-up if so, whilst it would be no surprise if Emi Buendia replaced Philippe Coutinho as he did against Burnley last weekend.
CRYSTAL PALACE
- On the back of consecutive Premier League victories, Crystal Palace will be looking to make it ten points from the last 12 available to them, keeping themselves above Aston Villa in the process.
- Centre-back Marc Guehi was forced off through injury against Watford and is unlikely to feature in the West Midlands and Patrick Viera could also rotate his attack with the likes of Jordan Ayew and Jean-Philippe Mateta both hoping for starts after being left on the bench last weekend.

THE PREDICTION
This is a tough match to call between two teams with very little to play for in terms of the Premier League table other than positioning. Aston Villa can go above Crystal Palace by winning here and with home advantage in their favour, are expected to take the game to the Eagles. Whilst this may see them gain success in front of goal, Palace contain significant pace and quality themselves from an offensive standpoint and any additional space afforded to them inside the Villa half should see the hosts punished. With that in mind, backing both teams to score looks a shrewd move regardless of who comes out on top.
Tip: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
