THE PREDICTION

It was a memorable midweek for Brighton, after they replicated their opponents here in Burnley, by stunning defending champions Liverpool and winning 0-1 at Anfield. The Seagulls have now kept clean sheets in four consecutive Premier League games as they continue to extend the distance between themselves and the bottom three. Burnley meanwhile, suffered a second successive defeat on the same night as Brighton’s famous Anfield win, losing 0-2 vs Man City. The Clarets won’t let a defeat to such a strong side concern them however, with Sean Dyche expected as always to prove a very tough nut to crack. This match isn’t likely to have much in terms of goalmouth entertainment and under 2.5 goals is expected, especially when taking into account Brighton’s current defensive form alongside Burnley conceding more than one goal in just seven of their 22 Premier League games so far this season.
