THE PREDICTION
Standard Liege ended bottom of the Championship round at the end of last season after a dismal run of four straight defeats in keeping with an overall disappointing campaign. They will have very few competitions to play this season as a result and that could see them benefit but an opening fixture against Genk looks a tough start. The visitors came into sparkling form in the Championship round late last season but could not gain enough ground on Club Brugge to earn a shock title. If they can start this new season how they ended the last, though, Genk could be the ones to beat in the pro League this campaign.
