CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC PREVIEW: FINDING IT TOUGH

The Central African Republic, with their manager being Raoul Savoy who is in his third spell in charge of the country after previously leading Ethiopia, Swaziland and Gambia, are currently ranked 128th in the world and involved in a very tough Group B.

They did win one of their opening qualifying matches last month as they defeated Lesotho but a defeat to Gabon a few days later was then followed up by a 5-0 annihilation at the hands of the Moroccans in Oujda the other day.

MOROCCO PREVIEW: A REALLY STRONG SIDE

After becoming the first African side to reach the semi-finals of a FIFA World Cup when they did so in Qatar in 2022, the Atlas Lions will now be looking to continue to build with what appears to be an even stronger side than two years ago.

The Moroccans began their qualifying campaign with a 4-1 hammering of Gabon in Agadir before edging past Lesotho. Their 5-0 win the other day featured a brace from Azzedine Ounahi as well as goals from Abde Ez, Achraf Hakimi and Soufiane Rahimi.

CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC TEAM NEWS: MAY CHANGE

After being on the receiving end of such a hammering the other day, the Central African Republic may well make a few changes with the hosts overly reliant on the quality of Geoffrey Kondogbia for them to have any real quality in their side.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Youfeigane; Yangao, Yambere, Mboumbouni, Tatolna; Kondogbia, Pirioua, Solet; Namnganda, Mafouta, Koyalipou

MOROCCO TEAM NEWS: POTENTIAL ROTATION

Al Hilal goalkeeper and Morocco number one Bono is currently out injured but Walid Regragui may also be keen on making a few changes for this one as they do have a lot of talented players and rotation is a blessing for Regragui.

PREDICTED XI (X-X-X-X): Munir; Hakimi, Abqar, Ageurd, Chibi; Ounahi, Amrabat; Rahimi, Akhomach, Abde Ez; En-Nesyri

UNAVAILABLE: Bono (Injured)

CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC VS MOROCCO PREDICTION

The Central African Republic do not have a lot of quality in the squad but have been able to frustrate teams in the past without ever really looking like fulfilling their admittedly limited potential. Morocco did not live up to their reputation at the 2023 AFCON earlier this year but do appear to be building towards something special and another comfortable Moroccan victory seems the likeliest outcome for this one.
