THE PREDICTION

Vissel Kobe put a relatively underwhelming group stage behind them as they earned a 2-0 success against Shanghai SIPG to set up this semi-final with Suwon Bluewings. That was Kobe’s second win in their last nine matches in all competitions and they will hope it signals a change in their fortunes but this will not be an easy clash. Suwon also earned a surprise win as they overcame Yokohama F. Marinos in a thrilling quarter-final clash and they are now unbeaten in four. They have lost only one of their last 11 matches and having beaten Kobe just last week in their final match of the group stage to seal their place in the knockout phase, the Korean side can once again come out on top.
