'Team TSZ' is a collective FPL team where tough decisions are made during uncompromising board room meetings. Team TSZ finished a lofty 1390 in its debut year, and followed that up with a respectable 88178 in its second season. How will the third season go? Stay tuned!

‘Team TSZ’ consists of:

Trystan Pugh

Alex Sarwar

HOW DID WE GET ON IN GAMEWEEK 22?

GW points: 72
GW average:
57
GW rank:
2,131,643
Overall rank:
292,294 (▼)

Team TSZ’s 72 points was a pretty remarkable haul considering we captained Mo Salah for a grand total of four and somehow left Tomas Soucek in the second bench spot. In his place, Vladimir Coufal came in for rested James Rodriguez for two points which is all very frustrating, though these past few months have been nothing but in FPL. Not least for me, chasing endless shadows in my private team. Like some kind of sadistic King Midas, every player I bring in gets immediately injured or called away by family emergencies. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sadio Mane and Thiago Silva have all fallen under my rubbish superpower, who will be next? The answer is Alphonse Areola (sorry Fulham) because Bernd Leno got jealous of David Luiz’ red card against Wolves and nabbed himself one too.

Despite a red arrow, the site team managed to stay inside the top 300K. I imagine Soucek will take to the field for our next game.

The inquest into Soucek began as soon as Skype whirred into life with Alex denying any responsibility. Trystan had Soucek in first position of his personal team…that’s all I’m saying on the matter. The team also made it known quickly that they would not be bringing in the OG bandwagon Jesse Lingard after his two goals against Aston Villa on his West Ham debut and so it shall indeed be Soucek’s time to shine against dogged, determined, defensive Fulham. Two points anyone?

Deciding to hold this week’s transfer because Team TSZ appear capable of picking players who actually play in their matches, for which I am totally envious, attentions turned to the just-announced double gameweek next time out. DGW24 will see Everton, Man City, Fulham and Burnley all play twice, followed by DGW25 in which Southampton and Leeds will do the double. With seven players already installed for either of those doubles, it seems the likes of Raphinha may be gracing Team TSZ’s second bench spot in the very near future.

Today though, the main decision was who to bench between Raheem Sterling versus old club Liverpool, against whom he has struggled for many years, or James Rodriguez away to Man Utd. With lukewarm arguments for both candidates, I was asked to make a judgment call and was no help at all. Alex decided that if Alisson plays, they’ll pick Rodriguez, if not Sterling might enjoy a run-out at Anfield minus the baying crowd. We should find out soon at Jurgen Klopp’s presser, and you can read our predicted line-ups article here to help you in your quest for a weekend without swearing at your phone.

Bruno Fernandes gets the captain’s armband at home to Everton after his 17-point haul against nine-man Southampton. Michail Antonio was in with a shout of the top job but it was decided that “Everton can’t defend for toffee”.
