HOW DID WE GET ON IN GAMEWEEK 20?

GW points: 40
GW average:
42
GW rank:
4,216,627
Overall rank:
431,564 (▼)

Well! Four days and 40 points later here we are, already questioning if bringing back the Team TSZ article was a good idea. Scoring just under Gameweek 20's average of 42 points, though, it could have been a lot worse and it certainly seems like it was one of those weeks where all the bottom teams in your individual leagues smash it out of the park. You were chucking popcorn at them from the gantry after DGW19 but now the lights are on and you feel exposed seeing that only un-popped kernels remain in your box; red-flagged kernels called Jamie Vardy, Keven De Bruyne and Harry Kane. Tomas Soucek was Team TSZ's main tormentor this week, sitting proudly on the bench with his arms around a big fat 15 points.

GAMEWEEK 21 TEAM

Formation: 3-5-2
Captain:
Sterling
Vice-captain: Salah
Transfers made: 1 (Kane > Calvert-Lewin)
Point deductions: 0

Last gameweek's "BIG TRANSFER" of Max Kilman to Jimmy Dunne proved a work of genius from the mind of Trystan. That extra £0.2m should be the difference-maker from now on and, like he explained to a hesitant Alex: "KilMan Isn'T LiKely To Get aNy MinUtES". Wolves parked the bus at Chelsea on Wednesday night in which young Kilman played the full 90.

Cursing their inability to swap Foden out for Cancelo without taking a hit (given the need to get rid of Kane), the guys looked morose for a while until a doorbell rang for Alex. I realised I had not heard a doorbell in many years and thought of nothing else for five minutes whilst Trystan and Alex laboured over Kane's replacement. Was it my nan's house? The last time I heard a doorbell? Maybe on an advert?

Timo Werner was briefly suggested with the arrival of new Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel but it seemed too much of a risk - yes it was my nan's house, Christmas 2015 - and so it seemed was Callum Wilson who remains a hopeful spark at dismal Newcastle. The choice came down to Dominic Calvert-Lewin versus Ollie Watkins in what will likely be a common face-off before the next gameweek, which is somehow tomorrow already.

Settling on DCL with Everton looking in good shape and, as aforementioned, Newcastle not, Alex and Trystan were faced with another difficult call. Soucek, with his 30 points from his last four matches, or Patrick Bamford, with his 13. My role as tiebreaker was activated for the second time this week, so I stopped thinking about doorbells and suggested that Leicester were conceding fewer goals than Liverpool's current back four of one-and-a-half defenders. Bamford drops to the bench, on my head be it, ready for that all-too common gut-wrenching FPL moment when Soucek gets a yellow-carded 1 point and the Leeds frontman grabs his second hat-trick of the season.

After much deliberation, Team TSZ's captain is Raheem Sterling vs a Sheffield Utd side who just shocked the red half of Manchester and look like they will be tough to break down. Will Mo Salah and Bruno Fernandes come back to bite them? Probably.

Thanks for reading, and good luck in the gameweek!
