TEAM NEWS & PREDICTED LINE-UPS

ARSENAL

• Unai Emery has said that Alexandre Lacazette (£9.3m) is fit and available for selection at the weekend: “Today is Lacazette’s first training back with us. It's positive for us that he's started training and that he's a possibility for Monday. I don't know whether he's ready for 90 minutes or on the bench.”
• Another who is ready to play is left-back Kieran Tierney (£5.4m): “Now we have two options in that left-back role with Sead Kolasinac (£5.4m) and him. We're going to play a lot of matches after Monday. We will need every player.” With Lacazette and Tierney returning, only Reiss Nelson (£5.3m) remains an injury doubt.
• The manager also spoke about the potential return of Mesut Ozil (£7.2m): "With Mesut, the year started difficult for him. His problem with Sead, and then he was sick. The last two or three weeks his training has improved. He has skills and qualities we will need in the next matches. Now, I feel really good about him."

ASTON VILLA

• Tom Heaton (£4.5m) is expected to overcome the knock that saw him withdrawn from international duty and be available for selection. The keeper is one of three returnees as both Jonathan Kodjia (£5.4m) and Bjorn Engels (£4.5m) are also fit again: "Jonathan Kodjia is back to full fitness, he's been training with us. "Engels is fine, he's trained ever since the Norwich game.”
• With those three fit again, Dean Smith now has just the two main injury concerns; James Chester (£4.4m), who is still working his way back to full fitness, and Jota (£5.8m): "The only one who's missing is Jota, who ended up having to have a hernia operation on Friday. So he's out for a couple of weeks now."

BOURNEMOUTH

• Howe has confirmed his side have “a couple of slight concerns” following their time away on international duty but failed to mention anyone by name. The likes of David Brooks (£6.3m), Dan Gosling (£4.9m) and Junior Stanislas (£5.9m) have already been ruled out of the match against Norwich: “We’re pretty much as we were. Adam Smith is getting closer, David Brooks is still some way away, as are Dan Gosling and Junior Stanislas. But the rest are pretty much there.
• Adam Smith (£4.3m) is getting closer to a return after the defender started training again during the international break: "He's trained. We've had to take our time with his hamstring injury; it wasn't an absolute clear low-grade strain. We've had to be careful with him. He's close."

BRIGHTON

• Graham Potter has confirmed that Solly March (£4.9m), Shane Duffy (£4.9m) and Leandro Trossard (£5.8m) are all available for selection this weekend: "We'll make a decision this afternoon and tomorrow - but I have nice selection problems now."
• Jose Izquierdo (£5.4m) and Bernardo (£4.4m) are both expected to miss out but other than that “everyone else is back and fit."
• With an impressive three-goal victory over Spurs last time out, Potter may choose to keep faith with the same XI that started that match. This would mean another start for the £4.5m Aaron Connolly (£4.5m), who scored a brace in that match.

BURNLEY

• Jack Cork (£5.0m) is an injury doubt as the midfielder still requires time to heal from a fractured shoulder blade, while Ashley Barnes (£6.5m) is set for a late fitness test on a tight groin. His absence would lead to a first start of the season for Jay Rodriguez (£5.7m).
• Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£5.9m) is set for several weeks on the sidelines after pulling his hamstring when on international duty: “Unfortunately, he got injured on international duty and a reasonably serious hamstring injury. It certainly won’t be days. It will be more like weeks. I don’t know how many yet but it’s serious enough to speak in that way.” Gudmundsson’s injury could see Aaron Lennon (£4.8m) brought back into the line-up, though Jeff Hendrick (£5.4m) could always move to the right wing if Cork is passed fit.
• Eric Pieters (£4.8m) is one that is set to be available with the left-back having recovered from the ankle injury that saw him withdrawn early in GW8. Any flare-up between now and Saturday would likely see a recall to the starting XI for TSZ favourite Charlie Taylor (£4.2m).

CHELSEA

• Frank Lampard is once again set to be without N’Golo Kante (£5.0m) after the Frenchman was injured on international duty. "N'Golo is not fit. He had a small groin issue in the warm-up to the first international game for France, we didn’t get him back until after the second game and he’s not fit for Saturday.”
• Kante's usual replacement Mateo Kovacic (£5.4m) is also a doubt after being withdrawn early from Croatia’s match against Wales with a knock: “Kovacic had a knock on has thigh but has trained the last couple of days so is in contention. Ross Barkley (£5.6m) is fine."
• For the time being it looks like Kurt Zouma (£4.7m) will continue to partner Fikayo Tomori (£4.7m) at the back after Andreas Christensen (£5.0m) was ruled out for “two weeks” with a “hamstring injury”.
• Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger (£6.0m) is still working his way back to fitness: “Rudiger is training outside with the physios which is a progression for him.” Emerson (£5.5m) is out for at least another week.
• After starting in GW8 and starring for England u21s during the international break, Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.9m) looks to have taken over as the midfielder of choice on the left side of Chelsea’s attack.

CRYSTAL PALACE

• On the injury front, Mamadou Sakho (£5.0m) is still unavailable for Palace with Hodgson hoping the player returns shortly: "I hope it is going to be soon. He’s been out since February if we ignore a couple of games he was able to play. It’s high time we get him back and he’s working very hard to come back. I hope it’s soon rather than late."
• Other than Sakho, Hodgson has stated he will be without Conor Wickham (£4.5m), while without name dropping anyone else, the manager stated: “There are a couple of players we’re assessing in the morning largely due to today’s session.”
• Luka Milivojevic (£6.7m) is back after serving out his one-game suspension for picking up five yellow cards and is likely to replace James McCarthy (£4.4m) in the centre of the park.

EVERTON

• Everton will be without Cenk Tosun (£5.7m) and Jean-Philippe Gbamin (£4.8m) for the match against West Ham this weekend, while Fabian Delph (£5.4m) will be given every chance to proof his fitness ahead of the match: "About Fabian, we're still in doubt. We have 24 hours until the game so let's see how he'll react. JP will be out long term and Cenk Tosun... he came back from the national team with a small issue in his muscle, in his groin."
• Club captain Seamus Coleman (£5.4m) will also miss out as he serves a one-match suspension for his red-card against Burnley. His absence should afford Djibril Sidibe (£5.3m) a first league start of the season.

LEICESTER

• Brendan Rodger’s has confirmed James Maddison (£7.2m) will be fit to face Burnley at the weekend after being sent home early from England duty with illness: “It’s coming along. He’s trained well. He was very good today. I expect him to be fit and ready. He worked really hard and showed his qualities.”
• The manager was also asked about the current media situation surrounding Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) but Rodgers didn’t seem too concerned about it affecting his focus: “Something that is personal. We offer support to players and family. We gave Jamie extra few days with his family. I’ve spoken to him, he’s fine.”
• Elsewhere, Dennis Praet (£5.3m) will be available for selection after arriving home later than planned from international duty: “Dennis hasn’t been with us this week. He made his first start internationally, but unfortunately for personal reasons, he’s stayed behind in Belgium. He'll be back with us tomorrow and he’s obviously had some game time while he was away."

LIVERPOOL

• Jurgen Klopp has provided a combined fitness update on Mo Salah (£12.5m), Alisson (£5.8m) and Joel Matip (£5.5m), which has failed to shed much light on their availability this weekend: “Better – how good, we have to see, that’s the truth. There are two more sessions to come from this afternoon and we have to see. Then we’ll make decisions, that’s how it is. Nothing is fixed.” He has however confirmed that “all players on international duty all came back healthy, which is very, very important.”
• Matip has however declared himself fit: “I’m back in training and hopefully I will stay fit.” Alisson and Salah have been both been training this week so it appears all three are trending towards starting rather then the bench.

MAN CITY

• Pep provided a brief injury update during his press conference, simply saying, “Some of them are better. Kevin is back, John trained well the last two days, Mendy as well.” The big news there is that Kevin De Bruyne (£10.0m), after training all week, is fit and ready to start at the weekend.
• After being given an extension for his appeal, Bernardo Silva (£7.9m) is available for this weekend’s match against West Ham. With the Portuguese midfielder likely to be suspended at some point after the match, he is highly likely to start before his enforced rest. If Bernardo does start, it could be in place of Riyad Mahrez (£8.7m) who has had a busy international period playing for Algeria.
• One player who was not called up on international duty is Sergio Aguero (£12.2m) who, unlike Gabriel Jesus (£9.5m), was afforded a two-week rest. Despite concerns over his fitness from the Argentina head coach and a recent car accident, Pep has said the player is "fine" but "the car is not".

MAN UTD

• Sergio Romero (£4.8m) is expected to start in goal for United after David de Gea (£5.6m) injured himself playing for Spain during the international break: "I think he'll be out. It certainly looked like it anyway judging on last night so it's just one of those things." On the plus side, OGS has said that the injury "isn't as bad as first feared", meaning it looks like a short-term absence.
• Paul Pogba (£8.4m) is another who has been ruled out by Solskjaer, with the midfielder struggling with a cracked toe: “Paul had an injury, he came back, he worked really hard. He came back and played a couple of games, maybe played through the pain barrier. He had a scan after the Arsenal game and maybe needed a few weeks' rest in a boot, so hopefully he won't be too long, but he won't make this game, no.”
• On the plus side, both Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.4m) and Anthony Martial (£7.5m) should be fit for at least the bench come Sunday: “Hopefully Aaron and Anthony will last through the training this week and be available for selection. If it's for half a game or 30 minutes, I don't know, but let's see where they're at.” Luke Shaw (£5.4m) is another who could be available.

NEWCASTLE

• Steve Bruce as an almost fully-fit squad to choose from with only Florian Lejeune (£4.5m) and Matt Ritchie (£5.3m) still absent through injury. Elsewhere, Isaac Hayden (£4.5m) is another who will be absent but through suspension: "Only Matt Ritchie and Florian Lejeune ruled out vs Chelsea while Isaac Hayden suspended. Should all be OK in 2 or 3 weeks.”
• The manager has spoken in glowing terms over the debut of Matthew Longstaff (£4.5m) and despite the return of players from injury has said, “How can I leave him out?” when asked about the possibility of him starting: “I don’t think I’ve witnessed as good a debut – not just the goal, but the whole way he played. There is a refreshing humility about him. “
• Bruce has also spoken about Andy Carroll (£4.5m) as the forward continues to look for his first start on his second coming: “Andy’s doing great, touch wood. He came on at Leicester and played another half an hour against Man United and there’s been no reaction to that. He’s trained all week again. So with Andy, it’s a case of so far, so good.”

NORWICH

• Norwich’s long list of injuries has vastly improved over the international break with a handful of players who have either been out or doubtful being declared fit by the manager. Top of that list is the news that Todd Cantwell (£4.9m), who had to withdraw from the England u21s with a recurrence of his hamstring injury, is fit.
• Farke’s goalkeeper problems are also starting to lessen with Tim Krul (£4.5m) being declared fit for the match against Bournemouth while Ralf Fahrmann (£4.4m) is expected to fit for GW10.
• In addition to the three players listed above, Farke also has Max Aarons (£4.4m), Alex Tettey (£4.5m), Tom Trybull (£4.5m), Kenny McLean (£4.9m), Sam Byram (£4.4m), Ben Godfrey (£4.5m), Jamal Lewis (£4.5m) and Onel Hernandez (£5.3m) all available for selection.
• One player who still does require a little more time is midfielder Mario Vrancic (£6.2m): "His last game in the line-up was in May, he had more or less no pre-season. So, he needs proper training."

SHEFFIELD UTD

• Following the international break, Sheffield Utd have a number of potential injuries that need monitoring: "John Fleck (£4.8m) pulled out of the Scotland squad, Oli McBurnie (£5.9m) had an issue with his knee. And David McGoldrick (£5.4m). We'll give them enough time and opportunity to be available to pick from." Chris WIlder has made it clear he’ll take no risks with the trio but will give every opportunity to prove their fitness.
• Wilder also spoke about how he believes Sheffield Utd’s current good form is due to the stability and continuity in his team selections: "I believe in stability, especially from the back. I thought the midfield three have done outstandingly well: Fleck, John Lundstram (£4.5m) and Oliver Norwood (£4.9m)." Given these words, providing the above players are deemed fit, don’t expect any changes from the XI who started the last match.

SOUTHAMPTON

• It’s as you were on the injury front for Southampton with the manager confirming that Cedric Soares (£4.9m) and Moussa Djenepo (£5.2m) are still out for the match against Wolves: "I think they are all fit back. No injuries so far, we only have Moussa Djenepo and Cedric Soares out."
• After conceding four goals with a back four in the match against Chelsea in GW8, Hassenhuttl may revert to a back three for this weekend’s trip to Wolves. It has been his preferred formation when Saints have played away from home this season. A change to three would likely see Jannik Vestergaard (£5.2m) recalled to the side, potentially at the expense of one of his more attacking players – Shane Long (£4.7m) or Nathan Redmond (£6.3m).
• Hassenhuttl has spoken in glowing terms over the form of Danny Ings (£5.9m), who has two goals in his last two matches: "I think Danny really is in good shape at the moment because he had a very good pre-season without injuries. That's the reason why he can work so much for the team. When he has the ball he has the quality to score." With Ings playing so well, Che Adams (£5.6m) may once again have to settle for a spot on the bench.

SPURS

• Tottenham could be without Christian Eriksen (£8.8m) who suffered a dead leg while on international duty with Denmark. If out, the Dane would join Hugo Lloris (£5.5m) as Tottenham’s two absentees.
• The injury to Lloris could mean Paulo Gazzaniga (£4.4m) is set for an extended run between the post, though Pochettino mainly spoke about Michel Vorm’s (£4.5m) return during the presser: "He's going to need time but we trust he was training. Of course, he will need to be on the pitch, in the goal, but I'm sure he's going to be ready as soon as possible, quick."
• The manager also confirmed that Giovano Lo Celso (£7.3m) and Ryan Sessegnon (£5.4m) have returned to training but are a while away from consideration: Poch on Lo Celso/Sessegnon's return to training: "Today they are far away off the level that they need to be involved. There are a lot of players ahead of them but it's good news that they, from now, will be involved with the team. But it's a massive step."
• Serge Aurier (£4.9m) will once again be available following his suspension and is likely to come into the team at the expense of Moussa Sissoko (£5.0m) who has been filling in as a make shift right-back.

WATFORD

• Quique Sánchez Flores has a number of injuries ahead of the match against Spurs but is confident his squad can handle it. Troy Deeney (£6.2m), Isaac Success (£4.8m), Etienne Capoue (£4.8m) and Sebastian Prodl (£4.0m) are all set to miss out: “We have Capoue, Deeney, Prodl and Success out, but we try to find a good solution.”
• The injury to Prodl means Craig Dawson (£4.8m) is likely to be recalled to the starting line-up after his benching in GW8. Dawson will slot into a back three if Flores chooses to continue with the formation he used in the 0-0 draw with Sheffield Utd last time out: “We've corrected a lot of things after the clean sheet.”

WEST HAM

• Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed he will have the same squad to choose from that he had for GW8 as Declan Rice (£4.9m) has overcome the illness he suffered on international duty with England: "Declan is okay, he has worked without any problems."
• This means that the boss will still be without Winston Reid (£3.9m) and Michal Antonio (£6.9m): "Everyone returned without any problems. So we have the complete squad fit apart from the players who were injured before - Antonio, Winston Reid.”
• There was an update also on the injury to Lukasz Fabianski (£5.1m), who underwent surgery last weekend: "Lukasz had his surgery last Saturday and now he must be patient. He needs some time to recover, you cannot do it faster than you need and as we said at the beginning, probably he will return in the New Year."

WOLVES

• Nuno Espirito Santo spoke about a number of potential injures to the likes of Leander Dendoncker (£4.4m), Romain Saiss (£4.4m), Diogo Jota (£6.1m), and Pedro Neto (£5.0m): “We’ll give them space and time to recover so they can help the team. Some of them will be inside of the game, others not. We’ll have to wait and see.”
• After starting every match this season, Raul Jimenez (£7.1m) was afforded a well-earned rest over the international break as the player was not called up to the Mexican national squad: “We had Raul, he stayed with us and had some days here and some time to rest. Now he’s working hard again, ready for tomorrow.”
• The manager has spoken about the impact Adama Traore (£5.0m) has been making on the side, particularly following his brace against Man City: “He’s doing well. Since last season, he’s been trying to always progress, be better. He’s a hard-working boy and that’s what he’s got to do, stick with his responsibilities, on a daily basis improve himself, and hopefully he’ll become better.
