Marcus Rashford (£9.5m) has received an interesting positional change in FPL this season with the Man Utd striker being listed as a midfield. That may be because he had a tendency to line-up out wide on occasions for the Red Devils last season but he is likely to predominantly feature through the middle. He is also in the mix to take set-pieces, but may have to topple teammate Bruno Fernandes who looks like having first crack in that respect. Rashford posted career-best figures for both goals (17) and assists (8) last season and with the Euro 2020 to come at the end of the season, the Man Utd man will be eager to showcase his talents to try and force his way into Gareth Southgate’s starting XI.

Raheem Sterling (£11.5m) also achieved the highest goalscoring return of his career with 20 but he could only manage six assists, his lowest total since 2015/16. He will be a key figure in the Man City attack once again this season as they look to regain their Premier League crown and he looks set to be deployed across the front three at various points. He notched 204 points last season, lower than he managed in the previous two seasons and while Ratchford managed 27 less than that, his switch to a midfielder can be hugely beneficial and at £2.0m cheaper, it is the Man Utd man that makes greater appeal here.

Verdict: Marcus Rashford
