FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Todd Cantwell vs N’Golo Kante

Despite being owned by 25.0% of FPL managers (at the time of writing), Todd Cantwell (£4.9m) registered his fourth blank in five gameweeks against Aston Villa in Gameweek 8. His price has risen by £0.4m since the start of the campaign, but managers are starting to look elsewhere with other cheap midfielders establishing themselves as viable options. One of those is Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante (£5.0m), who bagged his second goal in three gameweeks against Southampton. With a home clash against Newcastle next up for the Frenchman in Gameweek 9 compared to Norwich’s tricky trip to Bournemouth, Kante looks a better option than Cantwell does despite playing in a deeper midfield role.
