After a very slow start to life in England, Timo Werner (£9.4m) is starting to come into his own at Chelsea. The German international netted his fourth goal in four Premier League games in the Blues' 4-1 win over Sheffield Utd in Gameweek 8 and Werner has now accrued 32 FPL points over the course of the last four gameweeks. As for Gabriel Jesus (£9.3m), the Brazilian marked his return to Premier League action in style following an injury lay off. A goal and nine FPL points in Man City's 1-1 draw vs Liverpool means that Jesus has scored in his only two appearances so far in this season's Premier League.

Gameweek 8 will see Chelsea make the long trip up to Newcastle, whilst Man City head to North London where they will face an inform Spurs. On paper it's not easy to separate these two forwards as both are in goalscoring form and both are capable of a big FPL haul. When taking into account the difficulty of the two respective fixtures though, it leads us to lean in favour of Werner especially with Chelsea having scored seven goals in their last two league games.

Verdict: Timo Werner
