One Liverpool player who actually remains fit at present is midfielder Sadio Mane (£12.0m). The Senegalese star recorded his third FPL assist of the season in Gameweek 8 after winning a penalty in Liverpool's 1-1 draw against Man City at the Etihad Stadium. Kevin De Bruyne (£11.5m) registered an assist in the same game, although he failed from the penalty spot to put his side ahead, leaving him with just three FPL points from the match.
Gameweek 9 sees Liverpool host Leicester and Man City away at Spurs. Both tricky fixtures in their own right. However, whilst Liverpool may be missing players such as Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Mane should feature and he has a good record against Leicester, having scored in three of his last four appearances against the Foxes. With the onus on him to provide the key attacking returns with Salah absence, we're choosing Mane over De Bruyne in this head-to-head.
