FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Roberto Firmino vs Harry Kane

It was frustrating for both these forwards from an FPL perspective in Gameweek 8 but whilst Roberto Firmino (£9.6m) gained victory with Liverpool after a late penalty saw off Leicester, Spurs and Harry Kane (£10.9m) continued their wretched recent run of results in all competitions with a 3-0 defeat at Brighton.

There is no better fixture to bounce back in than the one Spurs have in Gameweek 9, with rock bottom Watford the visitors. That fixture alone establishes Kane as an enticing option and with Firmino facing Man Utd at Old Trafford in a game that could see Liverpool play a little more conservatively, Kane is favoured here.
