FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Raul Jimenez vs Tammy Abraham

Owners of Raul Jimenez (£7.1m) were finally rewarded in unlikely fashion as Wolves stunned Man City in Gameweek 8 at the Ethiad Stadium. Two assists for the Mexican saw him net 10 FPL points and reaffirm himself as a strong option in attack for FPL managers with favourable fixtures ahead. Tammy Abraham (£7.7m) continued to reward managers, with the striker scoring his eighth league goal of the season away at Southampton.

His next match is at Stamford Bridge where he has only scored two of those eight goals. Whilst Newcastle on paper looks a fixture ripe for an Abraham goal, it could be smarter to look at Jimenez who is not only cheaper in price, but has been given the fortnight off from international duty and should be fit, fresh and ready to fire in Gameweek 9 against a leaky Southampton defence.
