Mexican star Raul Jimenez (£8.4m) has four goals to his name in the Premier League so far this campaign with 37 FPL points acquired. He has yet to secure a double figure haul as of yet, but it feels like a big return is on the cards soon for the Wolves forward. Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) should have had a big haul for Leicester in Gameweek 8, but he followed up scoring a penalty by missing a penalty that ultimately cost him a double figure points haul and left him with a significantly ultimately underwhelming four FPL points in the Foxes' 1-0 win over Wolves.
Wolves welcome Southampton to Molineux in Gameweek 9, a friendly fixture for Jimenez who scored three goals in his two games vs the Saints last season in the Premier League. Leicester travel to a Liverpool side down to the bare bones defensively due to injuries. Whilst Vardy is likely the attractive pic on paper due to that wafer thin Reds defensive that he will look to take advantage of, Jimenez at a cheaper price could prove the better pick considering his record against Southampton. The Saints are strong at the back however and Vardy against a side who have failed to keep a clean sheet at Anfield this season gets the nod for us here as the safer option.
