FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Raheem Sterling vs Mo Salah

Raheem Sterling (£12.1m) and Man City’s blank in Gameweek 8 frustrated many FPL managers and those that have kept faith with the England star will be desperately hoping to see a big response this time around. After the shock loss to Norwich in Gameweek 5, City bounced back in emphatic fashion beating Watford 8-0 and they will be fired up against Palace. It seems highly unlikely they will come close to eight against a Roy Hodgson defence, but Sterling and City will surely respond in Gameweek 9.

FPL owners of Mo Salah (£12.5m) will also have question marks over their star man. The Egyptian has no attacking returns in his last two matches and he picked up an ankle knock against Leicester that will have owners sweating. While they face a struggling Man Utd side on Gameweek 9, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will surely raise their game for this one and keeping Liverpool’s star attacking trio out will be their priority. Salah owners will be sceptical this week and Sterling may well be the better play.
