Phil Foden (£6.5m) has not started Man City's last two Premier League fixtures, not featuring entirely against Liverpool in Gameweek 8. So far this season, Foden has two goals and one assist to his name. Jack Grealish (£7.5m) meanwhile, has four goals and six assists having played 90 minutes in every league game for Aston Villa so far this season.
Gameweek 9 sees Foden and Man City travel to Spurs, whilst Aston Villa host Brighton, an opponent that Grealish has fond memories of in the Premier League. The Villa star scored in both fixtures against the Seagulls last season. So when you take into account the difficulty of the respective games, along with the uncertainty over Foden's fitness. Grealish has to be considered the preferred option here.
