FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Jack Grealish vs John McGinn

The two Aston Villa midfielders have had contrasting seasons so far. John McGinn (£5.8m) has perhaps had the start of the season expected from Grealish, scoring three goals and one assist so far, whilst Jack Grealish (£5.9m) has probably had the start expected from McGinn, scoring only one goal and registering two assists. However, with McGinn playing a more attacking role in Dean Smith’s side this season, the Scot has relished the opportunity and proven himself as a quality player at this level. Brighton at home in Gameweek 9 presents an opportunity for both to register FPL returns and at £0.1m cheaper, McGinn has to be the preferred option of the two.
