FPL Gameweek 9 – head-to-head comparisons: Harvey Barnes vs Wilfried Zaha

Leicester defeated Wolves in a hard fought 1-0 victory in Gameweek 8, although from an FPL perspective, midfielder Harvey Barnes (£6.9m) drew a blank after coming on as a substitute in the 72nd minute. Crystal Palace meanwhile, thumped Leeds 4-1 as they ruthlessly took advantage of the visitors having a very leaky defence. Wilfried Zaha (£7.4m) may not have got on the scoresheet himself, but he did register an assist for the Eagles.

Gameweek 9 sees Barnes and Leicester play reigning league champions Liverpool at Anfield. The Reds are suffering from a defensive injury crisis which may bode well for the Foxes and their attacking players. Crystal Palace face Burnley at Turf Moor, a fixture which Zaha especially relishes having scored in his last two games against the Clarets on their own patch. Barnes may not potentially be guaranteed a start for Leicester considering his appearance from the bench against Wolves and when combined with Zaha's form not only against Burnley, but in general this season, it's the Palace man who gets the nod for us over Barnes here.

Verdict: Wilfried Zaha
