FPL Gameweek 8 – head-to-head comparisons: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang vs Bruno Fernandes

After his longest ever Premier League goal drought, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.7m) finally broke his scoreless streak against Man Utd in Gameweek 7. The Arsenal captain scored the winning penalty against Bruno Fernandes (£10.5m) and Man Utd as the Gunners secured a 1-0 win at Old Trafford. It was Aubameyang's first Premier League goal of the season since Gameweek 1.

Aubameyang will hope to back that up with more goals against Aston Villa in Gameweek 8, whilst Fernandes and Man Utd face a trip to Everton. Both these fixtures last season saw a goal for Aubameyang and Fernandes, but it is the United man whom the numbers stack up for best this campaign. The Portugese star has accrued 23 FPL points in the two away league fixtures he has played in so far and at £1.2m cheaper than Aubameyang, this is enough for us to learn towards him here.
