FPL Gameweek 8 – head-to-head comparisons: Kevin De Bruyne vs Sadio Mane

The Premier League assist maestro was up to his old tricks again in Gameweek 7. Man City's Kevin De Bruyne (£11.5m) was fit enough to make his first league start since Gameweek 4 and the Belgian set Kyle Walker up for the only goal of the game as City defeated Sheffield Utd. Whilst Sadio Mane (£12.0m) was also on the winning side in Gameweek 7, the Liverpool midfielder failed to register an attacking return as the Reds overcame West Ham 2-1 at Anfield.

Gameweek 8 will see these two heavyweight FPL options collide as Man City face Liverpool. This is fixture that De Bruyne shone in last season with a goal and assist as his side beat the Premier League champions 4-0. Priced at £0.5 cheaper than Mane and with those all important penalties in his control, De Bruyne to us looks more likely to have a higher points ceiling than Mane in this match.
