FPL Gameweek 8 – head-to-head comparisons: Heung-Min Son vs James Rodriguez

Over 55% of FPL players were left bitterly disappointed in Gameweek 7 as Heung-Min Son (£9.6m) failed to find the net for the first time since Gameweek 3. The Spurs midfielder and joint highest FPL scorer of the season so far blanked in his side's 2-1 win over Brighton. In this head-to-head we match the South Korean star up with Everton's influential Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez (£7.9m) who did not feature in Gameweek 7 due to injury.

Rodriguez is expected to return to action in Gameweek 8 which sees Everton host Man Utd. His record at Goodison Park is stellar, having accumulated 34 FPL points in three home league matches for the Toffees. However, with a slight question mark over his fitness and Everton's alarming recent form having lost their last two games, the safe choice here has to be Son, with Spurs away to a struggling West Brom side who have conceded 16 goals in their opening seven league matches.

Verdict: Heung-Min Son
