FPL Gameweek 8 – head-to-head comparisons: Edouard Mendy vs Bernd Leno

New Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy (£5.1m) made it three clean sheets in three Premier League appearances in Gameweek 7 in a 0-3 win over Burnley. German stopper Bernd Leno (£5.0m) also managed a shut out and an impressive one at that away at Old Trafford as Arsenal pulled off a famous 0-1 win against Man Utd.

Chelsea host Sheffield Utd in Gameweek 7, whilst Arsenal welcome Aston Villa to the Emirates Stadium. Two friendly fixtures on paper, although Aston Villa have scored 12 league goals this season compared to Sheffield Utd's three. With Mendy having not conceded so far in the Premier League, we have to favour the Senegalese star with Arsenal having conceded in all of their three home league games so far this season.
