Both Callum Wilson (£6.5m) and Ollie Watkins (£6.0m) were on the scoresheet in Gameweek 7. Each of them scored from the penalty spot, albeit only Wilson's was part of a winning effort, as the former Bournemouth forward went on to add a second goal and accrue 12 FPL points in Newcastle 2-1 win over Everton. Watkins' penalty was no more than a consolation as he earned seven FPL points in Aston Villa's 3-4 home defeat to Southampton.

Gameweek 8 sees Newcastle travel to the South Coast to face the Saints, whilst it's a trip to North London for Watkins and Aston Villa as they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. St Mary's holds happy memories for Wilson who has scored three goals in his last two appearances away at Southampton for his old side Bournemouth. With the likes of Ryan Fraser, Miguel Almiron and the mercurial Allan Saint-Maximin feeding Wilson, we see the Magpies forward as a more enticing prospect for Gameweek 8 compared to Watkins, who faces an Arsenal defence coming off the back of an impressive clean sheet against Man Utd.

Verdict: Callum Wilson
