FPL Gameweek 8 – head-to-head comparisons: Anthony Martial vs Gabriel Jesus

Man Utd forward Anthony Martial (£8.7m) is expected to return to action in Gameweek 8, having been suspended for the past three Premier League games after being sent off against Spurs back on Gameweek 4. Also set to make his first Premier League appearance after an extended absence is Man City striker Gabriel Jesus (£9.3m) who hasn't featured since Gameweek 2 due to injury.

These two will hope to make up for lost time in Gameweek 8 with only one league goal scored between them so far this season. Martial and Man Utd travel to Everton, whilst Jesus and Man City host reigning champions Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. Both are difficult fixtures, but when you take into account Liverpool's defensive injury problems alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne pulling the strings for City, we're included to plump for Jesus here, who has scored in his only two appearances in all competitions so far this season.
