FPL Gameweek 7 – head-to-head comparisons: Mohamed Salah vs Sadio Mane
In the regular battle between the two big hitting Liverpool midfielders to gain the highest FPL score of the gameweek, it was Sadio Mane (£12.0m) that came out on top over Mohamed Salah (£12.4m) in Gameweek 6. Two assists for Mane in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Sheffield Utd gave him eight FPL points, whilst Salah could only pick up two points after hitting the post and having a goal disallowed after VAR ruled it to be marginally offside.
Gameweek 7 sees Liverpool host West Ham at Anfield. Both Mane and Salah scored in this fixture last season. Whilst Salah is on penalties, Mane has actually outperformed the Egyptian by 20 FPL points in the last four gameweeks in which they have started together. When you also factor Mane's price being £0.4m cheaper and it appears that from a value perspective, it is him who is the better FPL option.
