FPL Gameweek 5 – head-to-head comparisons: Ollie Watkins vs Patrick Bamford
It was a Gameweek 4 that Ollie Watkins (£5.9m) will never forget. The Aston Villa forward signed from Brentford in the summer, scored a memorable hat-trick and along with an assist, racked up 19 FPL points as the Villains stunned Liverpool, thrashing the Reds 7-2 at Villa Park. Patrick Bamford (£5.8m) had less good fortune, picking up just one FPL point after being booked in Gameweek 4. However, his Leeds side fought hard and picked up a deserved 1-1 draw against Man City.
Gameweek 5 sees Watkins and Villa travel to Leicester, whilst Bamford's Leeds welcome Wolves to Elland Road. Both tricky fixtures, Leeds being at home could give Bamford the edge here and with his price at £0.1m cheaper than Watkins, the Whites frontman also edges him on value.
