FPL Gameweek 5 – head-to-head comparisons: Heung-Min Son vs Gareth Bale
He was expected to miss Gameweek 4 through injury. However, Heung-Min Son (£9.0m) was passed fit for the match and made all the FPL managers who sold him pay, scoring twice and registering an assist in Spurs' 1-6 demolition of Man Utd. He now has accrued 43 FPL points in his last three gameweeks and with Gareth Bale (£9.5m) to come into the side, Spurs are looking a very exciting prospect.
Gameweek 5 sees Spurs host West Ham in a London derby and Bale faces a race to be fit to play. He has been pictured in training over the international break which bodes well for him featuring at least from the bench. However, with Son expected to start and priced at £0.5m cheaper than Bale, from a Gameweek 5 perspective he is clearly the better option.
Verdict: Heung-Min Son
