West Ham's Tomas Soucek (£5.0m) will consider himself terribly unlucky not to have got his first goal of the season after his header was diverted into the Wolves net by Raul Jimenez in Gameweek 3, with the Mexican being credited with an own goal. This meant Soucek owners has to settle for an assist and 6 FPL points in West Ham's 4-0 win over Nuno Espirito Santo's side. Helder Costa (£5.7m) of Leeds had a quiet Gameweek 3, playing 65 minutes before being subbed off as the Whites defeated Sheffield Utd late on in the Yorkshire derby.

West Ham travel to Leicester in Gameweek 4, whilst Leeds host Man City. Whilst Soucek has arguably the tougher fixture on paper from an FPL perspective considering how poor Man City look in defence, plenty is in the West Ham midfielder's favour. He will be afforded license to push forward and his aerial height is always a huge threat from set pieces. Add that to him being priced at £0.7m cheaper than Costa and we'd consider Soucek the better value pick in this head-to-head.

Verdict: Tomas Soucek
