FPL Gameweek 4 – head-to-head comparisons: Raul Jimenez vs Jamie Vardy
Gameweek 3 saw these two forwards at the opposite ends of the FPL success scale! Whilst Raul Jimenez (£8.6m) could only succeed in putting the ball into his own net against West Ham and thus fail to accrue any FPL points from the weekend, Jamie Vardy (£10.0m) continued his torment of Pep Guardiola by netting a hat-trick against Man City, with two of them coming from the penalty spot.
Wolves and Jimenez will hope to bounce back in Gameweek 4 against a struggling Fulham side, whilst Vardy and Leicester face the West Ham side that put Wolves to the sword so efficiently in Gameweek 3. Whilst Vardy will be expected to carry on his hot streak, there is a doubt over his availability for the game with a hip injury. Add that to the Hammers likely not giving him as much space to run in behind them and Jimenez looks like the safer pick here, at £1.4m cheaper and against a team who have shipped a whopping ten goals in their opening three Premier League games.
