So far, this season has not been one where the Man Utd defence have covered themselves in glory. Five goals conceded in their opening two Premier League games have seen defenders Harry Maguire (£5.5m) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.4m) pick up just 5 FPL points between them, thanks mainly to the former registering an assist against Brighton in Gameweek 3.

Gameweek 4 sees Man Utd host Spurs and the Red Devils must tighten up at the back. Neither Maguire, nor Wan-Bissaka look very enticing to own from an FPL perspective however if we were to choose one we would plump for the latter. Wan-Bissaka could be afforded some joy pushing forward from right-back and with Maguire nursing a knock, it would be too risky to select the United captain here.
