FPL Gameweek 4 – head-to-head comparisons: Danny Ings vs Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Both Danny Ings (£8.4m) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.4m) continued their rich vein of scoring form in Gameweek 3. Ings bagged the only goal of the game as Southampton secured an impressive win away at Burnley, whilst Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring as Everton triumphed 1-2 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Southampton host West Brom in Gameweek 4 and Ings will be looking to add to the three goals he has scored in his last two league games against a side who has conceded 11 goals in their first three matches. However, with such a creative Everton midfield that includes James Rodriguez pulling the strings, Calvert-Lewin has taken his forward game to the next level, with five goals in his last three league matches. Brighton are the visitors to Goodison Park and for us, Calvert-Lewin represents the better value here at £1.0m cheaper than Ings.
