While neither Christian Eriksen (£8.9m) nor Heung-Min Son (£9.5m) have started the season on fire for Spurs, this is down to vastly different reasons. The transfer speculation surrounding Eriksen has not only adversely affected his own form but also seems to have caused a lack of trust between himself and the manager. The Dane has started two of the opening three matches on the bench and at this time cannot be trusted to be included in the starting line-up, at least until his future is decided. Son, on the other hand, was thrown straight back into the starting line-up following his suspension in Gameweek 3, and he was one of the few Spurs players that looked like making something happen against Newcastle. Spurs will eventually turn their form around, however the same can’t be said for Eriksen, as his time at Tottenham could be coming to an end.
