FPL Gameweek 3 – head-to-head comparisons: Todd Cantwell vs Douglas Luiz

Teemu Pukki may be the one grabbing all the FPL headlines these days, but his partner in crime Todd Cantwell (£4.5m) is going somewhat unnoticed. The talented midfielder assisted two of his goals against Newcastle, and he offers a great option in the lowest price bracket for midfielders. Villa’s Douglas Luiz (£4.5m) is another option in the same bracket thanks to his goal against Bournemouth, but that may be something of a rarity for the on-loan Man City midfielder. In 46 appearances while on loan at Girona for the last two seasons, he failed to hit the back of the net, and while he does possess a reasonable long-range shot, Cantwell offers far more in terms of creativity and threat in the attacking third.
