Sadio Mane (£11.9m) got off the mark in this season's Premier League with a bang in Gameweek 2, scoring both goals in Liverpool's 0-2 win away at Chelsea. Man City's Raheem Sterling (£11.5m) couldn't find the net in his first league game of the season, however he did provide an assist as City came through a tough test, winning 1-3 against Wolves at Molineux.
Both players are at home in Gameweek 3, with Liverpool facing Arsenal and Sterling up against Leicester. There is very little to choose between the two players in this head-to-head and as such we're inclined to favour the cheaper asset, which is the Man City midfielder.
