These two forwards locked horns in Gameweek 2 and it was Brighton's Neil Maupay (£6.5m) who had by far the better of things against Newcastle's Callum Wilson (£6.5m). Two goals, one assist and 16 FPL points represented a more than satisfactory return for Maupay as Brighton beat the Magpies 0-3 in a convincing display at St James Park.
Gameweek 3 sees Brighton host Man Utd, whilst Newcastle travel to North London to face Spurs. With the Seagulls playing at home and United proving less than convincing defensively after shipping three goals against Crystal Palace last weekend, Maupay looks the more attractive FPL option here.
Verdict: Neil Maupay
