FPL Gameweek 3 – head-to-head comparisons: Lucas Digne vs Seamus Coleman

The two Everton full-backs Lucas Digne (£6.0m) and Seamus Coleman (£5.5m) will be under consideration by thousands of FPL managers this week once again, but there is a very clear winner when choosing between the two. Digne offers far more attacking threat from open play (as seen by his stunning long-range pass to Bernard for his winner against Watford) and from set pieces. Coleman is more than capable going forward but to a lesser extent and he is prone to picking up bookings more then the French left-back. The only cautionary note when picking Digne is the strain that forced him off against Watford – Marco Silva suggested it was precautionary, but be sure to check our team news blog on Thursday and Friday for an update on his availability.
