Leandro Trossard (£6.0m) backed up his goal for Brighton in Gameweek 1, with an assist in Gameweek 2 as the Seagulls comfortably dispatched Newcastle 0-3 at St James Park. Whilst Matheus Pereira (£6.0m) was part of a West Brom side beaten 5-2 at Everton, the Baggies midfielder managed a goal and an assist to show his qualities and the vital role he'll play in their fight against relegation this season.
Gameweek 3 sees Trossard's Brighton host Man Utd, whilst the Hawthorns plays host to West Brom vs Chelsea. Both difficult fixtures but both provide opportunities for our two players in focus here to make an impact from an FPL perspective. With Pereira having proven himself as such a strong free kick taker after his strike in Gameweek 2, we're inclined to narrowly learn towards the Brazilian.
Verdict: Matheus Pereira
