FPL Gameweek 3 – head-to-head comparisons: Anthony Martial vs Harry Kane
To the chagrin of many FPL managers, Anthony Martial (£9.0m) suffered a frustrating blank in Gameweek 2. The Frenchman failed to make any sort of impact for Man Utd as the Red Devils fell to a surprise 1-3 defeat to Crystal Palace. Harry Kane (£10.5m) meanwhile, made a huge impact for Spurs, registering an unbelievable four assists as well as a goal for himself as the North Londoners won 2-5 at Southampton, Kane picking up a whopping 21 FPL points.
Martial will be hoping for better in Gameweek 3 as Man Utd travel to Brighton, whilst Kane will be hoping for more of the same as Spurs host Newcastle. The Magpies are unlikely to allow Spurs the room that Southampton did, which shouldn't work to Kane's advantage. When you add that to Martial's £1.5m cheaper cost and it's the United forward who looks the better value for Gameweek 3.
